NCC Wing Burla NAC College

(4 ‘ODISHA’ MEDICAL COMPANY, BURLA)

The NCC unit in the college was first opened in the year 1995 with only 30 seats and later increased to 50 seats in 2009. Currently, the college has a sanctioned strength of 100 seats in Army branch of which, one-third seats are earmarked for the Girl Cadets in Senior Wing (SW) and the remaining seats are for the Boys in Senior Wing (SW). The cadets of the college have been regularly participating in the Army Training Camp (ATC) and Combined Army Training Camp (CATC) both within and outside the state. Moreover, our NCC cadets have been regularly attending national and local level camps like National Integration Camp, ThalSainik Camp and Tracking Camp. The College NCC Unit has two cadets participate at the New Delhi Republic Day Parade in 2023. Besides the mandated camps, our NCC unit often organises Blood Donation camp, Swachata Abhiyan, Punit Sagar, AIDS awareness, Health Camp, and engaged in plantation drive. Since its inception many the ex-NCC cadets of the college are now employed in police and paramilitary forces like ITBF/BSF/Police/Army and Fire Brigade. 

Major Saroj Kumar Tripathy, Lecturer in History currently heads the NCC unit of the college.
