The National Service Scheme (NSS) was introduced to the higher education system in India with a goal to inspire the young studentstocommit some time for social service. The NSS, is thus that platform where students get a chance to serve the community and understand social issues in threadbare.Similarly, the community also get closer to the educational institution established in their vicinity. Considering this ideal in mind the NSS unit was opened in the year 2012 in the college. Themotto of the NSS wing of the Burla NAC College is –“Love, Live and Last”for the cause of the society. Ever since its inception, the NSS wing has been striving to do its best on many fronts like organising awareness camp on health, literacy, sanitation to taking up plantation and blood donation camps in nearby locality. Currently the college have two septate NSS units operating simultaneously one belonging to the senior orcollege wing the other belonging to the junior or higher secondary school wing.
