Department of ODIA

The department is established since the inception of the college. It offered compulsory paper to intermediate students. Currently the department is offering honours as per CBCS pattern under Sambalpur University. It has 24 sanctioned seats. As the government emphasizes on the mother tongue, opportunities and job prospects in the language is unlimited. An Odia language graduate can work as translator, content/copywriter, advertising agency and newspapers, apart from teaching and research. As Odia language is the official language, the department emphasizes on drafting letters and refinement in linguistic skills.
